"Sidecar" by Karla Nolan Table Jewelry

Okay, what in the world do you mean by Table Jewelry?

Let's see, the only way to put it is jewelry for your furniture -- your table, side table, dining table, place settings, dresser -- you get the gist. It's an attempt to cheer you up, give a little sparkle to the day, make you think of cheerful things and events, twinkle, remind you of the sea.

Most, if not all, of the table jewelry has genuine Swarovski crystals in different hues, smaller shells on larger shells, a bit of metallic bling, almost always different shades of pearls, occasionally a rarer sea item such as a sand dollar, a starfish, maybe even a sea horse. They are intended to enchant you, provoke conversation -- something out of the ordinary. Many would not call them "art" but I do -- they're really not unlike jewelry setting sometimes, and I need to compose them carefully; they involve color and form.

"Sidecar" is just the name for this piece of table jewelry. The shells are joined at the hip! (edge?) Lots and lots of natural pearls, several Swarovski crystals, gold touches, just a fun piece of art. Perfect conversation piece for your cocktail or coffee table!

"Sidecar" 3"x3", $36 includes s&h in N. America, Paypal preferred, click button below or write for more info, KarlaNolan@gmail.com

Amore. The word for love. Well, I just love this piece of table jewelry -- especially the big pink potato pearl, the baroque and freshwater pearls. And the Swarovski crystals, the additional shells on the shell, the gold edging. This baby just makes me happy. Feel free to click on the photo to enlarge it and see it closer.

This piece of Table Jewelry is entitled "Fools Gold" -- there is iron pyrite on it, along with freshwater pearls and Swarovski crystals. When I was a child I was curious about "fools gold" -- did you have to be a fool to find it? Was it a kind of gold? It's funny the perception children have, wouldn't you agree? Anyway, this is a sweet piece -- you can click on the photo to enlarge it and see it closer.

"Joyful Starfish" by Karla Nolan Table Jewelry

Okay, what in the world do you mean by Table Jewelry?

Let's see, the only way to put it is jewelry for your furniture -- your table, side table, dining table, place settings, dresser -- you get the gist. It's an attempt to cheer you up, give a little sparkle to the day, make you think of cheerful things and events, twinkle, remind you of the sea.

They are intended to enchant you, provoke conversation -- something out of the ordinary. Many would not call them "art" but I do -- they're really not unlike jewelry setting sometimes, and I need to compose them carefully; they involve color and form.

I find sometimes that naming this table jewelry is a chore. How original can one get? This is a sand dollar. That is a pearl. This is a pink crystal. Duh! Honestly, it can be frustrating. I was sitting in my meager, tiny studio, looking at this piece, wondering what in the world would be an appropriate name? I glanced at the starfish on the side and it looked so upbeat, so joyful! Hence, the name of this little piece of table jewelry.

"Joyful Starfish, approximately 2x3.75", $36 includes s&h in N. America, Paypal preferred, click button below or write me for more info at KarlaNolan@gmail.com

"Nestled" by Karla Nolan Table Jewelry

Okay, what in the world do you mean by Table Jewelry?

Let's see, the only way to put it is jewelry for your furniture -- your table, side table, dining table, place settings, dresser -- you get the gist. It's an attempt to cheer you up, give a little sparkle in the day, make you think of cheerful things and events, twinkle, remind you of the sea.

Most, if not all, of the table jewelry has Swarovski crystals in different hues, smaller shells on larger shells, a bit of metallic bling, almost always different shades of pearls, occasionally a rarer sea item such as a sand dollar, a starfish, maybe even a sea horse. They are intended to enchant you, provoke conversation -- something out of the ordinary. Many would not call them "art" but I do -- they're really not unlike jewelry setting sometimes, and I need to compose them carefully; they involve color and form.

This particular large shell had a lot of purple tones in it, so I ran with that. I added in a small starfish with a large deep colored freshwater pearl on it, a purple Swarovski crystal on another shell which also had a freswater pearl on it, semi-precious chips in it, and more freshwater
white and paler pink pearls scattered throughout the bottom of the large shell -- there is my "Nestled" table jewelry.

Don't forget, s&h is included in N. America when you order "Nestled" (approximately " x "), using the Paypal button below, please; you can also write me at KarlaNolan@gmail.com for more information, should you want

"Pearls Gone Wild" by Karla Nolan Table Jewelry

Fun, fun, fun! That's what this is about -- today you see a medium sized starfish loaded up with bling, this time primarily in the form of pearls. This is a natural sculptural piece to lighten your load -- put in on your dresser, your cocktail or coffee table, inviting comments, starting conversations. In these tough times, a little lightness is a necessary element in life. Don't you agree? I often use Swarovski crystals on my table jewelry, lots of shells and pearls, hints of gold. Jewels in a different form!

"Pink and Silver" by Karla Nolan Table Jewelry

"Pink and Silver" is one of my newest pieces of "table jewelry" -- sort of Nature's miniature components of sculptural elements assemble by me to make your furniture and decor even more enticing! This piece has several pink pearls incorporated into it in varying colors, a bit of bling via the silver accents, and, of course, a number of shells added to the original oyster shell. It measures approximately 2"x4" and stands a couple of inches tall. What a delight, with the Swarovski crystals added for just a touch more bling.

"Pearl Chain Gang" by Karla Nolan Table Jewelry

I took some time off from my table jewelry to travel and then paint. But I'm back now with some new designs which I hope you enjoy.

I named this one "Pearl Chain Gang" for obvious reasons -- I lined up a number of small freshwater pearls to highlight the five shells in the middle of the large shell, complete with Swarovski crystals, pink quartz, a solitary large pink potato pearl and a couple of gold potato pearls. Enjoy!

"Pearl Chain Gang", approximately 1.75"x4", $36 includes s&h in N. America, Paypal preferred, click button below or write KarlaNolan@gmail.com for more information

"Unity" by Karla Nolan Table Jewelry

This shell has black and white and tans in it. I named it "Unity" because it is unified; it has varying colors that are unified for strength. Okay, enough political talk here!

The center tunnel leading into the shell itself is sort of a pearl-like color, I have applied several other shells to the main shell, and many little off-white pearls to the top and all around. I really do like this one, it was fun to put together!

This shell measures approximately 2.5" x 4" and is encrusted with many small white pearls, four Swarovski crystals, two additional shells on top of the larger shell, and, of course, a coin pearls which measures just under 1/2 inch. It is the piece de resistance! This is a simple piece of "table jewelry", very sculptural, actually, thanks to Mama Nature. Elegant!

"Gold and Green" by Karla Nolan, Table Jewelry

This piece of table jewelry is entitled "Gold and Green". It, too, is encrusted with pearls, some of which are baroque, Swarovski crystals in varying shades of green, and more shells on top of it. I guess you might say that I possibly named it in honor of Colorado State University, as their colors are gold and green, might that could be a bit of a stretch. Nonetheless, it's a bit of Mother Nature's works aided by me to make into jewelry for your table. As they say in the restaurant biz, "Enjoy"!

Shades of blues, lavender, lilac, purple -- this sweet shell has three shells resting on top of it and is laden with amethyst chips, white pearls and several blue Swarovski crystals, just winking and blinking at you! It fun to curl up on the couch and watch the light flicker off the crystals, reminding one of jewelry.

"Fuchsia and Pink", Karla Nolan Table Jewelry

A dainty shell, this one has a hot pink/fuchsia potato pearl, two smaller pink pearls, rose quartz in rounded form, some rose quartz "bits", a large Swarovski crystal resembling a rhinestone, and 14 freshwater pearls in off-white tones. Plus four shells on top of the medium sized oyster shell. This has a delicate look to it, in my opinion -- sweet enough for the mirrored top of your young lady's dresser.

"Super Star" by Karla Nolan Table Jewelry

Welcome to my new blogspot -- I'm going on three of my own spots now: Karla Nolan Fine Art, Karla Nolan Judaica, and this one, Karla Nolan Table Jewelry. All three spots have different purposes -- one for art that is two dimensional, in oils, pastels, and on glass. The second one, Karla Nolan Judaica, is obvious: the Jewish art, Judaica, primarily in paintings. And this one, Karla Nolan Table Jewelry, is about something a bit different. This is three dimensional: sea shells, Swarovski crystals, semi-precious stones, and pearls. It's just a bit of bling, sparkle, schmaltz -- call it what you will. A little something to pick up your spirits! Have fun with it.

This is one big starfish! It has natural freshwater pearls on it including greys, pinks, blues, gold tones, plus different colored Swarovski crystals. Eye catching, to be sure! It retails at $200, a steal! (It's about 6-8" across.)

For now the items I plan to show are not available directly from me. I was delighted to discover that an art gallery in Charleston, South Carolina, Dobbin Gallery, 175 Church Street, has agree to "take me in". So you can find the next few items there, should you wish, in about a week. I just shipped them from Fort Collins, Colorado, today. Have fun looking!!!!!
